This Victron MultiPlus 24-800-16-16 Inverter Charger is composed of a compact housing, a sinusoidal inverter, a battery charger with variable charging technology, and a high-speed Alternating Current (AC) transfer switch.
The inverter produces an uninterrupted AC, so if you suffer a blackout or a disconnection from the generator port outlet, the inverter is automatically activated. In this way, it is the inverter that supplies the loads that we have connected.

What is the purpose of the Victron MultiPlus 24-800-16-16 Inverter Charger?
This inverter has the function of a charger at the same time, so it performs two functions in one. I will explain both functions to you below:
- On the one hand, we have the inverter, which is the device that is responsible for transforming the 12 or 24 Volt voltage of a battery system, to the voltage that normally reaches homes.
- On the other hand, we found the load. Its function is to charge the batteries from an alternate power source (normally 220-230V). You can automatically program the “Inverter Charger” to automatically recharge the batteries when they are low in charge. If the input to the electrical grid is available, a bypass achieves a consumption of up to 16An in AC.
